George Li Takes Audiences to Italy with the SLSO

Pianist George Li spoke with Classic 107.3 host Tom Sudholt about his upcoming debut with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra!

Tom says, “George Li and I discussed his amazement at where he has been and what he has been able to accomplish in a few short years. (He is 27 years old.) George spoke of how stimulating it is to travel and perform internationally at this early stage of his life and career. Especially interesting to him is the many different ways that audiences receive and show appreciation in a live performance situation. The style can vary markedly – not only from country to country, but even from city to city. George also spoke of the challenges of making recordings, be they from live concerts or dedicated studio sessions. We also talked about a trio of composers who have become more important to him as he matures, both as a person and performing artist.”

Concerts take place Saturday, November 26 at 8pm and Sunday, November 27 at 3pm. For more information and tickets, visit slso.org.
