Join SLSO Conductor Laureate Leonard Slatkin for an out-of-this-world movie event! Maestro Slatkin will host a screening of the Steven Spielberg sci-fi masterpiece Close Encounters of the Third Kind with a pre-film discussion of the classic John Williams score.

Classic 107.3 Symphony Lecture Series
The Symphony Lecture Series is a group focused on learning about classical works to be performed by the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. We meet on select Mondays in the Fireside Room at Ladue Chapel from 9:30am to 11:30am. Starting in September, eight lectures will be given by St. Louis Symphony Orchestra Assistant Conductor Samuel Hollister. Classic 107.3 hosts will be on hand as well… with doughnuts!

Beat Beethoven 5K
Think you have what it takes to Beat Beethoven?
Save the Date for April 18, 2027!
Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C minor generally takes about 31-35 minutes to play, depending on the conductor and orchestra. A 5K is 3.10 miles.
Our annual “Beat Beethoven 5K” is a fundraising event for Classic 107.3, the Voice for the Arts in St. Louis. Everyone who registers before the deadline will receive an event t-shirt and a finisher’s medal (plus on-air radio shout-outs if you “beat Beethoven”)! Kids under 18 receive a registration discount.
