The 31st Annual Whitaker St. Louis International Film Festival is happening November 3-13. David Kirkman, founder of Woke Nation Studios and artist-in-residence with the Department of African and African-American Studies at Washington University, is an innovative young writer, director, and filmmaker originally from Ferguson.
