Dastoor – Woods Duo at WCHOF

Pianist Brian Woods, who is also the Music Director at the World Chess Hall of Fame, and violinist Daniel Dastoor will perform together as the Dastoor-Woods Duo tomorrow night, March 2, at WCHOF. Brian and Daniel spoke with Julie Schuster about the concert, which will feature music of Francis Poulenc, Fritz Kreisler, and Johannes Brahms in a virtuosic program that will please classical music aficionados as well as those who are new to the genre. Formed at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Dastoor-Woods Duo made waves on the international scene, making a virtual concert debut for the EvoFest: Evolution Concert Series at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in 2021. Partnering award-winning Canadian violinist Daniel Dastoor with World Chess Hall of Fame Music Director and pianist Brian Woods, the duo continues to delight audiences with performances ranging from classic repertoire to the music of living composers.
