Challenge and Charm at the World Chess Hall of Fame

Pianist Brian Woods, the Music Director at the World Chess Hall of Fame, will be appearing in concert on February 16 at 7pm with members of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra: violinist Xiaoxiao Qiang, violist Chris Tantillo, and cellist James Czyzewski. The program includes a “charming” piano trio from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and a challenging quartet from Antonín Dvořák. Brian talks about why it’s important for musicians to push themselves, the connection he has to his fellow performers on the program, and the roots of the music series at WCHOF in this interview with Classic 107.3’s Julie Schuster.
