About Tom Sudholt

As Classic 107.3 program director and afternoon host, Tom knows classical music inside and out. He was one of the principal voices and music architects at KFUO for 24 years, serving as the weekday morning drive announcer and host for Friday Morning with the Arts as well as Saturday Afternoon at the Opera. Tom’s encyclopedic knowledge of music history encompasses all the major periods, repertoire, recordings, individual performing artists and groups. Tom is also an audio producer and technician, and in his spare time, labors over iconic classical recordings to improve their sound quality for broadcast at Classic 107.3.

About Chuck Lavazzi

Currently the Principal Critic of St. Louis Arts Scene, Chuck has been an actor/singer, broadcaster, and theatre and music critic since his student days at Rice University in the 1960s. Locally, his voice has been heard on KWUR, KSLH, KDHX, and now Classic 107.3. Fortunately for his financial health, he also had a Real Job as an IT Manager before he retired over a decade ago. He’s a member of the Music Critics Association of North America and the St. Louis Theater Circle. You’ll find him on Facebook, Linkedin, and on YouTube as well.

Symphony Preview was a beloved tradition in years past, and Classic 107.3 is thrilled to bring a new incarnation of the show to our airwaves! Hosted by Tom Sudholt and Chuck Lavazzi, absolute veterans of the local classical music scene, with production support by Andy Coco, Symphony Preview is a chance for you to learn about the music and musicians that you’ll hear and see on stage at St. Louis Symphony Orchestra concerts. Tune in each Wednesday at 8pm CT during the performance season, and get ready for upcoming performances from the SLSO!
