Musical Ancestries™: Thailand
Musical Ancestries™ is a program created to inspire school-aged children to explore their musical and cultural heritage and develop an appreciation for others’ traditions. It is designed to create a pathway to understanding and acceptance as children explore the great diversity of our community.
This episode of Musical Ancestries™ is focused on the music, dance and traditions of Thailand. Listeners meet Chet, who’s living in Bangkok, Thailand with his mother for a year and just starting Prathom 5, or 5th Grade. As Chet learns about the music and culture of Thailand, so do you!
