Kathy Lawton Brown talks with Ilya Shmukler, winner of the prestigious Concours Géza Anda piano competition earlier this year, and Alla Voskoboynikova, Director of Keyboard Studies at University of Missouri-St Louis.

In Part 2, Shmukler, piano student of Stanislav Yudenitch at Park University’s International Center for Music, talks about how he took 1st Place at the Concourse Geza Anda piano competition in Zurich, Switzerland on June 8th, 2024. In addition to taking the top overall prize, Ilya was awarded the Audience Prize, the Mozart – Prize, the Special Prize of the Hungarian Radio Arts Groups, and the Junior Jury Award.
