Thomas Jöstlein, Associate Principal Horn for the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, talks about the Horn Trio by Johannes Brahms, part of the program for the free Ariel Concert Series performance at Grace United Methodist Church on May 9. The brass players will open the concert with a wonderful sonata written by the French composer Francis Poulenc, followed by Gioachino Rossini’s duo for cello and double bass. The sound acoustics of Grace United Methodist Church favor the brass players, and the warm and golden sound is something you don’t want to miss!
