Musical Ancestries™: Australia
Musical Ancestries™ is a program created to inspire school-aged children to explore their musical and cultural heritage and develop an appreciation for others’ traditions. It is designed to create a pathway to understanding and acceptance as children explore the great diversity of our community.

In this episode, listeners join 11-year-old Emma and her mother as they travel to Australia to visit Aunt Kylie and immerse themselves in the country’s rich musical and cultural traditions, from ancient First Peoples’ rhythms and storytelling to contemporary culture and sounds shaped by Australia’s diverse communities.
