James Ehnes Brings a Bernstein Party to the SLSO

Violinist James Ehnes sat down with Tom Sudholt to discuss practice schedules and the compulsion to play one’s instrument, musical interpretation and criticism, and Leonard Bernstein’s Serenade (after Plato’s Symposium), a piece that isn’t performed as often as Ehnes would like. He’ll be playing Serenade with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra on January 28 and January 29, at concerts that also feature the world premiere of Visions of Cahokia by James Lee III.
