July 2: Riccardo Muti conducts Tchaikovsky and Debussy. In 1904, an instrument maker commissioned Debussy to write a showpiece for their new instrument, the Chromatic Harp. On this week’s program, Riccardo Muti conducts Debussy’s exquisite score, “The Sacred and Profane Dances” featuring principal harp Sarah Bullen, plus music by Tchaikovsky.
