|Job Description:||Radio Arts Foundation (RAF), branded as Classic 107.3, a St. Louis based not-for-profit classical music radio station, is seeking a Sales Professional to join our management team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a mission-minded, self-motivated, and innovative individual to be an integral part of a growing public media organization that is “The Voice for the Arts in St. Louis”. Responsibilities will include securing advertising and sponsorship of proprietary and leased radio programming, as well as RAF events, initiatives and digital products across multimedia platforms; meeting advertising and sponsorship revenue budgets.
Candidate should be comfortable and experienced with a 360-degree sales position that includes prospecting, cold calls, needs assessments, proposal creation and presentation to secure the sale, servicing the account and forecasting and reporting results to RAF management.
|Essential Duties:||Utilizes a thorough understanding of the RAF Strategic Plan and priorities to build productive client relationships and revenue growth
Becomes conversant in the public media value proposition and Classic 107.3 programming, as well as the impact of our local initiatives provided to the St. Louis arts and business communities
Plans and implements comprehensive marketing campaigns in the context of the Board-approved Marketing Plan, utilizing available sales tools including market research
Creates and maintains strong, long-term working relationships with arts community and business clients based on professional follow-through and service
Researches and understands the client’s needs and develops advertising programs and event and initiative sponsorship opportunities that offer solutions to help fuel the client’s success.
Meets advertising and sponsorship budgets
|Experience and Abilities Required for the Position:
||Demonstrate a successful track record in media and/or event sales and advertising revenue growth
Possess at least 3 years experience in media/advertising sales; high school diploma required, with college degree preferred
Create thoughtful and persuasive written, oral, and presentation communications, as well as explain the RAF value proposition to existing and prospective advertisers
Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers
Work independently with minimal supervision, be a self-starter
Possess a thoughtful and positive demeanor and a professional appearance
Understand the value of, and display a passion for, the arts
Possess a high level of integrity, as well as problem-solving and analytical skills
Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and underwriting database systems
Drive their own car and possess a valid driver’s license
|Position Administrative Background:||The position reports to RAF’s CEO and General Manager
The media sales professional will work closely with the Development Manager to achieve synergistic, long-term revenue, sometimes from shared client relationships
The position is located in Clayton, Missouri
The position is full-time and focused tightly on sales and marketing activities
Compensation will include an annual base salary, plus an incentive bonus based on advertising and sponsorship revenue growth

|Job Title:||Production, Programming, Social Media & Development Interns (part-time, remote)
Classic 107.3 offers this internship to students who are interested in earning school credit. Intern hours will be set upon hire, averaging 5-10 hours a week. This is an unpaid internship.
|Job Location:||Clayton, MO, United States|
|Job Description:||Learn Classic 107.3’s music library database and automation software. Assist with data entry and correction, music ripping, and editing. Intern will take a role in a major metadata roll-out for Classic 107.3’s broadcast and digital services.
Assist the production staff in the creation and ingestion of on-air material, from promos to locally produced programs.
Generate material for the Classic 107.3 website, including classical music news, podcasts, blog entries, and programming features.
|Job Requirements:||Computer literacy; must have a computer with internet access
Excellent communication and writing skills
Interest in radio, non-profits and in serving the Classic 107.3 audience
Broadcast experience a plus
The ideal Classic 107.3 intern will demonstrate reliability, integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to take initiative
