Dominic Cheli’s piano playing has been described as “spontaneous yet perfect, the best of how a young person can play” (Symphony Magazine). His rapidly advancing career includes his Walt Disney Concert Hall debut with legendary conductor Valery Gergiev, his Carnegie Hall Recital debut, as well as an upcoming album release on the Naxos label. A native of St. Louis, Dominic has performed with the Metropolitan Orchestra of St. Louis, as well as the San Diego Symphony, DuPage Symphony, Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie in Germany, and many others.

Kathy says, “It’s always a pleasure to interview Dominic!” The pair discuss Dominic’s upcoming performance at The Sheldon, when he will perform the music of Franz Liszt, Clara Schumann, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Johannes Brahms, plus Modest Mussorgsky’s beloved “Pictures at an Exhibition” in this concert sponsored by Mary Pillsbury Wainwright.
