Pi Day Black & Blue Pie

Julie Schuster's favorite pie recipe from Cuisine Magazine (August 2007 issue). Julie says: "I usually use less about 1/4 c less sugar than the recipe calls for when I make this pie. Use the best berries that you can find, however! For the crust, keep the vodka in the freezer so it's nice and cold, and use ice water. You can add more if the dough isn't sticking together. Most importantly, don't forget to invite me over for a slice!"

Marie-Hélène Bernard – SLSO Spring Season Update

St. Louis Symphony Orchestra has announced the return to live, in-person concerts at Powell Hall. This spring season features 8 weeks of concerts with the family of SLSO artists. Capacity at these concerts is capped at 300 people, plus masks are required for patrons, staff, and string musicians. Rich Sounds Of Danielpour’s Passion

Composer Richard Danielpour's oratorio, "The Passion of Yeshua" has been, by his admission, a work that has been 25 years in the making. It details the last hours of Jesus Christ utilizing ancient Hebrew texts and other primary scriptural sources from antiquity, and has been nominated for three Grammy Awards. He recently had a conversation with afternoon host Tom Sudholt about this work, among other topics.

Mozart Piano Sonatas, Vol. 1

Pianist Orli Shaham is recording all of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's piano sonatas for her brother's Canary Classics label. The first volume, featuring Piano Sonata No. 3 in B-flat Major, K.281; Piano Sonata No. 13 in B-flat Major, K.333; and Piano Sonata No. 17 in B-flat Major, K.570, was released in October. The second and third volumes will be released in 2021. Ms. Shaham recently spoke to Classic 107.3's John Nasukaluk Clare about the project.
